*sigh* you brought my back in time to where a couple of Swallows decided to build a nest at the entry to my home. At first, my husband thought it a bad idea, for them, for us and hosed the nest down but they built it again exactly as the first so he conceded, permitting them to stay. All the glass in the front entry permitted me an undisturbed view of their daily life and they content with me, shared it. ( my husband says its because I’m Cinderella) I watched them lay their eggs, fiercely protect them, the hatching, chirping babies that soon took to wing. I was sad at the seasons end when they left and wondered to where they went and I waited…. for they would return year by year. I dont know how they came to me but they’ll always return to where they last bred or were born so I’d always have my summer loves return.
