Blogs & Bloggers Thursday

20181031_192910_0001

Sorry gang that I’ve been so out of touch. Aside from sleeping through an entire day, I try to push through my daily tasks.  Being under the weather, it’s much like wading through deep water….trudging in mire.  Hoping to get back to my old self soon.  Until then, enjoy these offerings and Happy Blogging!

Welcome back to Blog & Bloggers Thursday!
Each Thurs., I share some of the posts that I’ve enjoyed during the past week, blogs I love or simply fantastic Bloggers.  This is more than a simple link up.  I’ll give you links while giving it and them the honor of what or why I loved it and why you will too.
It’s a weekly hat tip to my community, a word of appreciation, recognition AND a way for me to both introduce you to each other and promote your blogs.
There are so many of you that I just can’t say enough about and I truly love but I can’t get to everyone all at once. Please be patient.  I Don’t want your feelings  hurt or to think I’ve over looked you.  I love you all!  Read, enjoy, follow and be looking for my pingback as you’ll be listed soon.
How you can help…  If you’ve written a post that you’d love to share, one you’re really happy with, or just to introduce yourself to everyone, leave a link in the comments where everyone can enjoy it.
Without further adieu…

Peace, Love and Patchouli
Beneath The Brightest Moments

This is such an incredibly beautiful poem. I read it over and over again. I stand in awe that so few words may boast power to command such imagery,  depth, emotion.

Marrow
Mountain Blood

Oh I loved this post so much! Mountain blood is more than a region, it’s family, history, community…it’s life lived and lessons learned.  These are the things that give us baring, anchor and roots…a sense of belonging and home.

Our Little Red House
Vintage Recipes From The 1920’s pt 1

With the holidays upon us, the baking season is in full swing.  Cheri has so graciously shared with us these fabulous recipes from magazines from the 1920’s!  Maybe I’m a nerd but I’m crazy over the opportunity to peek back in time to the era’s fashion, trends AND recipes! I could just swoon! If you love this as much as I do, check out her blog as she’s now posted Pt 2.

The Secret Blind
My Unicorn Meets Your Ass

First of all, come on….This title is not only an attention grabber but also HILARIOUS! The substance of this post, however, is pure wisdom.  It’s about baggage, bitterness and forgiveness. “When bitterness finds its way into your life, it does not always want to leave quietly…”
Isn’t that the truth!  Beautifully written post and advice we can all learn from.

  1. I hope you are feeling better everyday. Thank you so much for mentioning me. Love that you do this every Thursday for everyone, very thoughtful of you. I always make my family fresh salsa when then are not feeling well during the Winter months. Not sure if I sent this recipe to you or not but here it is again if so:
    Can of whole tomatoes
    cilantro
    green onions
    1 can of tomato sauce
    1 yellow chilli pepper (optional)
    1 jalapeno(optional)

Dice whole tomatoes and pour juice into bowl along with diced tomatoes, add tomato sauce and cut up cilantro and green onions. If you want it spicy then dice up the peppers and add them as well but make sure to scoop the seeds out before you cut them and add them to your salsa. Oh, and boil the peppers first. I never add peppers because my kids don’t like hot things. The peppers will help with sinuses from colds and flu but the mild version with the cilantro, tomatoes and green onions will help keep you healthy and you will heal faster. Get a big bag of tortilla chips and eat away.
