Ireland: St Marys Cathedral, Killarney

Our Lady of the Assumption, better known as St Mary’s is a Gothic style cathedral  built between 1842 – 1855.  More than anything, I wanted to share the beautiful photographs of it’s stunning architecture.

Now here’s the tricky portion.  Although I’m not catholic,  I have attended with friends who are and I can safely say I have never seen this…

Holy water?

Soooo….I’m not altogether sure the purpose here though I’m certain one of you can tell me.  I am sure of this though, it’s probably not for the purpose of what it appears.  Unless of course, it really is a Holy Water drink dispenser?  Surely there’s someone else, exactly like me, who are going to get into trouble for being thirsty.
