I have seen your snow capped mountains
Wantonly reaching for indego skies
Have wandered barefoot through your valleys
Swollen with your lush green pride
I have splashed within your ocean
Lain upon your sun baked sand
Called my name into your canyons
Bathed within the Rio Grande
And I’ve heard your many voices
Cayotes wail and cattles low
The whipporwill and bullfrogs hum
Each one sings a song of home
And I have loved you, oh my darlin’
From your mountain, shore and plain
And bare your spirit ere I wander
Til longing brings me home again

James Bond reflected that good Americans were fine people and that most of them seemed to come from Texas.

It is a small world indeed! I have very fond memories of Texas. If I lived there now, I think I would explore more of east Texas – we went a few times and meant to go back, but somehow got distracted and never did.

Take me Home, down Country Roads!
Just beautiful, Laura! 🙂
I think you’d probably find West Aus to be your home away from home! ( just with less people) 😉
